Dr. Emily Polur is a reformed chicken doctor who has always had a great love for cats. After attending the University of Georgia for her undergraduate degree in avian biology (poultry science) she moved to Philadelphia for veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania. While in vet school she participated in feline spay and neuter clinics and managed to accumulate many interesting feline cases on her rotations. After graduation, she practiced poultry medicine at a diagnostic lab and even became board certified in the American College of Poultry Veterinarians, however, she missed treating and working with pets, especially cats. She is passionate about learning and is extremely excited to be at Paws, Whiskers, and Claws practicing feline only medicine. Dr. Polur has her own crew of four feline friends and a young son at home. When not at work she enjoys spending time with family, crocheting, and hiking.
